The quality of printing products begins with the quality of the layout.
If your layout does not comply with these standards, the cost of printing increases due to the need of our specialists to modify the layouts.
Check your layout carefully, providing us with all the necessary materials, in accordance with the following requirements. It will assure quality of production according to the deadline.
After the client approves the layout for printing, the Printing Office bears no responsibility for missed errors!
- Raster files shall be provided without layers (a single Background layer) and without alpha channels. If the raster file is used with a Clipping Path, write it as EPS> DCS off> Encoding Binary.
- Filling that covers less than 5% can’t be reproduced.
- Use 100% Black for small objects and black color text.
- Barcode and QR Code must be 100% Black.
- If Illustrator special effects such as transparency, shadow, and other similar special effects are used in the layout, the file must be necessarily rasterized at a resolution of 300 dpi and be provided in .tif format.
- Layouts shall not include control scales and cutting marks. Additionally, attach the .jpg file to the layout together with all the marks.
- In case of any type of decoration, the layout shall include vector outline in the following colors: the outline for trimming/die-cutting is red, the outline for scoring is green, the outline for notching is blue, and the relief element for embossing/stamping is marked with black color.
- Do not use Pantones. Digital printers do not print Pantones. Please note that SPOT-Pantone and Pantone transformed into CMYK are different!!! For color matching, you can order a test print.
- Light tones with a value of less than 8% and dark tones over 92% may not be visible.
- The maximum printable areas for digital printing are 318×1190 mm.
- Raster files shall be provided without layers (a single Background layer) and without Alpha Channels. If the raster file is used with a Clipping Path, write it as EPS> DCS off> Encoding Binary.
- Minimum line thickness is 0.25 pt
- For personalization, you must send file to Excel for personalized text information or a set of tif or eps files for personalized graphical information.
- Use only LZW compression.
- Resolution (Pixels/Inch):
– size up to 5 m2 – 300 dpi
– size from 5 to 15 m2 – 150 dpi
– size over 15 m2 – 300 dpi - The default distance between copies is 0 mm. If you need spaces between copies, specify it.
- File size should not exceed 300 MB.
REQUIREMENTS FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRODUCTS
Important elements of the business card shall be located no closer than 4-5 mm from the cutting edge + 2 mm cutting reserve.
The size of the booklet shall be 97-100-100mm and the size of the back / inner side of the booklet is 100-100-97mm. Important elements of booklets shall be located no closer than 4-5 mm from the cutting edge and scoring/folding + 2 mm die-cutting reserve.
For multipage edition, the printed layout must be assembled into the finished sample (observance of the original sample size is optional).
– The cover for hot glue book binding shall be provided in the form of Spreads (pages 1,4 and 2,3) in a separate layout + spine. On the spine, the inner margins of all pages shall be increased by 10 mm (gluing will consume ~ 5 mm + score).
The layout of the die-cutting product must have a 3 mm reserve for die-cutting process.
