We manufacture custom french fries boxes in Chisinau, Moldova: scoop-style fry cups and open trays made of food-grade board, printed with your brand, from 2,000 pcs per order. We are the manufacturer, not a packaging reseller: every box is printed and die-cut at our own 3,000 m² factory, running since 1999 with 40 specialists.

Scoop cup or tray: which to choose

Two basic fry formats. The scoop-style cup stands upright at the counter and in a combo holder, the portion is poured in from the top; sizes run from a compact format to a large portion. The open tray works on a serving tray, at the pick-up window and inside a takeaway box — and it holds fries with sauce, too. We don’t force a fixed size grid: our structural design team draws the blank for your portion, and in a library of 3,000+ cutting dies a matching one may already exist — then you don’t pay for new tooling. A cardboard prototype takes 30 minutes: try the box with your actual portion before the run.

Board that holds the grease

The base material is GC1 food-grade board, 215–290 g/m²; for greasy portions and sauce-heavy serving we use PE-coated board, 280 g/m² — a grease-resistant, moisture-proof barrier, critical for fast food. We import materials directly and keep our own stock: stable quality and the optimal sheet format — less waste in the layout, a lower price, no middleman margin. Board and inks are approved for food contact: sanitary certificate ANSP P-23739/2026, migration 4.3 against the limit of 10 — details on the food packaging certification page.

Case study: Star Kebab — 50,000 boxes per run

Fries boxes are the highest-volume item in our fast-food profile. For the Star Kebab chain (over a hundred orders since 2014) we print them in runs of 50,000 pcs — repeat runs through 2024–2026, plus two runs of 100,000 in 2023. At those volumes the compact format drops to 0.95–0.97 MDL per box, and a repeat run starts without re-engineering: the die, the layout and the colour proof are already in our production system.

Price guide

The “from” prices are built on real orders from 2025–2026, all in Moldovan lei (MDL) incl. 20% VAT. They are a guide, not an offer: the exact price is calculated operation by operation — construction, board, quantity — and is ready within a couple of hours.

  • 2,000–5,000 pcs — from 3.90 MDL;
  • 5,000–20,000 pcs — from 2.80 MDL;
  • over 20,000 pcs — from 0.95 MDL (a typical large-run price is ~2 MDL; 0.95 is the compact format at runs of 50,000).

Below 2,000 pcs fries packaging is hardly ever ordered — the economics don’t work. A repeat run takes 3–5 working days; a new order adds one day for the prototype and approval. How box pricing works in general — on the box printing cost page.

What to order together with fries boxes

Fries rarely travel alone: the full takeout line-up — burger boxes, shawarma boxes, takeaway boxes — is on the fast food packaging page; for sauces there are compartment sauce trays in the eco tableware range, along with leak-proof 420–1400 ml containers with PET lids; the rest of the catalogue is on the food and HoReCa packaging hub.

FAQ

What is the minimum order for french fries boxes?

From 2,000 pcs: at smaller quantities the per-box price stops making sense, so fries packaging is hardly ever ordered at 500–1,000 pcs. You can still try before committing: a cardboard prototype in 30 minutes.

How much does a french fries box cost?

Guide prices from 2025–2026 orders: 2,000–5,000 pcs — from 3.90 MDL; 5,000–20,000 — from 2.80; over 20,000 — from 0.95 MDL (incl. VAT). Not an offer: the exact price is calculated operation by operation for your construction and quantity, within a couple of hours.

What is the difference between a scoop cup and a tray?

The scoop-style cup is vertical: it stands at the counter and in a combo holder, and the portion is poured in from the top. The open tray suits serving trays and takeout boxes, and holds fries with sauce. Both formats are made to your portion size with your branding.

What board are fries boxes made of?

GC1 food-grade board, 215–290 g/m²; for greasy portions and sauces — grease-resistant PE-coated board, 280 g/m², which does not soak through. Materials are approved for food contact: ANSP certificate valid until 2029, food-safe inks.

Can you make a box for our portion size?

Yes — that is our normal mode of work: the structural design team draws the blank to your portion, and with 3,000+ cutting dies in the library a matching one may already exist, so you skip the tooling cost. A cardboard prototype is ready in 30 minutes.
