Pergament manufactures custom fast food and delivery packaging: burger boxes, french fry boxes, shawarma packaging, takeout boxes, sushi boxes — printed with your logo at our own 3,000 m² factory in Chisinau, Moldova (since 1999, 40 specialists). We are the manufacturer, not a reseller: your takeaway packaging is printed and die-cut in-house — runs start at 500 pcs, a repeat run ships in 3–5 working days (a new order takes one extra day for the prototype and approval). The board is certified for food contact — our ANSP sanitary certificate is valid until 2029 — and we cut a physical prototype of your box in 30 minutes.
What we make
Everything is made to order, with your design, from food-grade board approved for food contact:
- Burger boxes — sized to your burger, sandwich or combo meal; the structure is engineered to order.
- French fries boxes — from compact scoops to large portions; the economics start at 2,000 pcs.
- Shawarma packaging — board with a grease-resistant PE barrier: it does not soak through with sauce.
- Sushi boxes — for a set, roll or combo; made to order.
- Delivery packaging — takeout boxes (baby box, hot dog), cup holders and cup sleeves.
- Eco tableware — 420–1400 ml cardboard containers with clear PET lids: leak-proof, they hold food hot from the oven and, unlike styrofoam, do not burn through; sauce cups and compartment trays available.
If the construction you need is not on the list, our engineering team designs it from scratch, and a library of 3,000+ cutting dies often saves you the cost of a new die. The full food packaging catalogue is in the food and HoReCa section.
Case study: Star Kebab — 103 orders since 2014
We have worked with the Star Kebab chain since 2014 — 103 orders to date. Their french fry boxes are printed in runs of 50,000 pcs (repeat runs through 2024–2026, plus two runs of 100,000 in 2023): at those volumes the price of a box drops to 0.95–0.97 MDL. The 210×125×110 mm baby box has been through 6 runs of 3,000–5,000 pcs each. A repeat run starts without re-engineering: the die, the layout and the colour proof are already in our production system.
Materials and food safety
We import materials directly and keep our own warehouse — no middlemen affecting quality, lead times or price:
- GC1 board, 215–290 gsm, in various sheet formats — the core food-grade board for boxes.
- PE-coated board, 280 gsm — a grease- and moisture-resistant barrier; for fast food this is the key point: the box does not soak through with grease or sauce.
- Lamination films in all formats — matte, gloss, soft-touch.
Our own warehouse means stable quality from run to run, material always in stock, and the optimal sheet format for your box: less waste — lower price, with no middleman margin.
We print with food-safe inks. The ANSP sanitary certificate P-23739/2026 is valid until 04.08.2029; laboratory migration tests showed 4.3 against a limit of 10. Details and documents are on the food packaging certification page.
How to order
- Send the dimensions of the product — or just a photo of the dish and the portion size — to contact@pergament.md or call +373 79 044 417.
- Our engineer builds a CAD drawing, and within 30 minutes the plotter cuts a cardboard prototype: you hold your box before anything is printed.
- Test run — try the packaging in your kitchen and with your couriers.
- Production run from 500 pcs in 3–5 working days (repeat runs; a new order takes one extra day for the prototype and approval).
- Batch delivery and storage — we keep your stock in our warehouse and ship it on your schedule.
For chains and large volumes
Fast food and street food chains, dark kitchens and delivery services go through tens of thousands of boxes a month — and this is where our core economics work best. Our own board warehouse guarantees the material is in stock for every run, and with a long-term contract and planned purchasing the price goes down: we pre-buy material in the optimal sheet format. Production runs on an MIS — we are the first printing house in Moldova to run openly on a production MIS since 2014 — so repeat runs start fast and a new quote takes a couple of hours. How box pricing works in general — see the box printing cost page.
Price guide
The “from” prices below are built on real orders from 2025–2026. All prices are in Moldovan lei (MDL), incl. 20% VAT. They are a guide, not an offer: the exact price is calculated operation by operation — structure, board, run size — and is ready within a couple of hours.
- French fries boxes (ordered from 2,000 pcs): 2,000–5,000 pcs — from 3.90 MDL; 5,000–20,000 — from 2.80; over 20,000 — from 0.95 MDL (a typical large-run price is ~2 MDL; 0.95 is the compact format at runs of 50,000).

- Burger and sushi boxes: no published range — made to order: engineering team plus a library of 3,000+ cutting dies, quote within a couple of hours.
FAQ
Do you manufacture the packaging yourselves or resell it?
We manufacture it ourselves: our own 3,000 m² factory in Chisinau, 40 specialists, Heidelberg and Manroland offset presses, die-cutting and an automatic folder-gluer line. We do not resell anyone else’s packaging — every run is printed to order, with your design.
What is the minimum order quantity?
For food packaging — 500 pcs. Some products only make sense at higher volumes: french fry boxes are ordered from 2,000 pcs. You can always try before committing: a cardboard prototype in 30 minutes and a test batch.
How much does a burger box cost?
We do not publish a price range for burger boxes — such orders are occasional, so it is more honest to quote to order: send the dimensions and run size, and an operation-by-operation quote is ready within a couple of hours. Guide prices for neighbouring products are in the price guide above; how box pricing works — on the box printing cost page.
What are the lead times?
A repeat run — 3–5 working days. A new order — plus one day for the prototype and structure approval.
Is the packaging safe for hot and greasy food?
Yes. For fast food we use 280 gsm PE-coated board — a grease- and moisture-resistant barrier: the box does not soak through with grease or sauce. We print with food-safe inks; the ANSP sanitary certificate is valid until 2029, and migration tests showed 4.3 against a limit of 10. For food hot from the oven there are eco containers with PET lids — unlike styrofoam, they do not burn through.
We have no artwork — can you help?
Yes. Our engineering team designs the box from your dimensions or a sample dish: a CAD drawing, a cardboard prototype in 30 minutes, and print design if needed. If the structure matches one of our 3,000+ existing cutting dies, you save the cost of a new die.
What products and formats do you make?
Burger boxes, french fries boxes, sushi boxes, shawarma packaging, takeout boxes (for example the 210×125×110 mm baby box), cup holders, and 420–1400 ml eco containers. Any size to fit your portion: the structure is engineered in CAD to order.
How do we collect the order — do you deliver?
You can collect the finished run at the factory (Chisinau, str. Columna 170/C) or receive it in batches: we store your stock in our warehouse and ship it on your schedule, so the boxes do not fill up your storeroom. Shipping details are agreed when you order.
