We manufacture custom shawarma boxes and wrap sleeves in Chisinau, Moldova: lock-style closed boxes and cardboard sleeves for wrapped rolls, made of food-grade board and printed with your brand, from 500 pcs per run. We are the manufacturer, not a packaging reseller: every box is printed, die-cut and glued at our own 3,000 m² factory, running since 1999 with 40 specialists.

Box or sleeve — sized to your wrap

Shawarma is served in different ways, so the packaging differs too. A closed lock-style box is for delivery and plated shawarma: it keeps its shape in a courier bag and stays shut. A sleeve is a cardboard band that slides over a roll wrapped in foil or paper: the brand stays visible, hands stay clean, and the cost per piece is minimal. We don’t force a fixed size grid: our in-house structural design team draws the blank for your portion, and in a library of 3,000+ cutting dies a matching one may already exist — then you don’t pay for new tooling. A cardboard prototype takes 30 minutes: try the packaging on your actual roll before the run.

Board that doesn’t soak through with sauce

Shawarma is the “wettest” product in fast food: sauce and hot grease quickly soak through ordinary cardboard. That’s why for boxes we use PE-coated board, 280 g/m² — a grease- and moisture-resistant barrier; for sleeves, GC1 food-grade board of 215–290 g/m² works well. We import materials directly and keep our own stock: stable quality, the optimal sheet format for your blank, less waste in the layout — a lower price with no middleman margin. Board and inks are approved for food contact: sanitary certificate ANSP P-23739/2026, migration 4.3 against the limit of 10 — details on the food packaging certification page.

Runs, lead times and experience

Minimum run — 500 pcs. A repeat run takes 3–5 working days; a new order adds one day for the prototype and construction approval. Shawarma and kebab are our home turf: we have printed packaging for the Star Kebab chain since 2014 — 103 orders, from fries boxes in runs of 50,000 pcs to takeaway boxes. A repeat run starts without re-engineering: the die, the layout and the colour proof are already in the production system.

Price reference

The “from” figures are built on real orders from 2025–2026; all prices are in Moldovan lei (MDL), incl. 20% VAT. This is a reference, not an offer: the exact price is calculated operation by operation — construction, board, quantity — and is ready within a couple of hours.

  • Shawarma and kebab packaging: 500–1,000 pcs — from 4.50 MDL; 1,000–5,000 — from 3.00; 5,000–20,000 — from 1.50; over 20,000 — from 1.35 MDL.

What to order together with shawarma packaging

A takeout point usually needs the whole line: burger boxes, fries boxes, takeaway boxes, cup holders — see the fast food packaging page. For sauces and sides — eco tableware: leak-proof 420–1400 ml containers with PET lids and compartment sauce trays; the rest of the catalogue is on the food and HoReCa packaging hub.

FAQ

What is the difference between a sleeve and a shawarma box?

A sleeve is an open cardboard band that slides over a roll wrapped in foil or paper: minimal board use and the lowest cost per piece. A box is a closed lock-style construction: it keeps its shape in delivery and suits plated shawarma. Both are printed with your design and can be ordered together.

What board is shawarma packaging made of?

Boxes — PE-coated board, 280 g/m²: the polyethylene barrier holds the grease and sauce of a hot filling. Sleeves — GC1 food-grade board of 215–290 g/m². Materials are approved for food contact: ANSP certificate valid until 2029, food-safe inks.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

From 500 pcs. A repeat run takes 3–5 working days; a new order adds one day for the prototype and construction approval.

How much does shawarma packaging cost?

Reference from 2025–2026 orders: at 1,000–5,000 pcs — from 3.00 MDL, at 5,000–20,000 — from 1.50, over 20,000 — from 1.35 MDL (incl. VAT). Not an offer: the exact price is calculated operation by operation for your construction and quantity, within a couple of hours.

Can you make packaging for our roll size?

Yes — that is our normal mode of work: the structural design team draws the blank to your roll diameter and portion weight, and with 3,000+ cutting dies in the library a matching one may already exist, so you skip the tooling cost. A cardboard prototype is ready in 30 minutes.
