We manufacture custom sushi boxes in Chisinau, Moldova: our structural design team draws the construction to fit your roll sets, printed with your brand, from 500 pcs per run. We are the manufacturer, not a packaging reseller: every sushi box is printed, die-cut and glued at our own 3,000 m² factory, running since 1999 with 40 specialists.

A construction sized to your sets

A roll box has its own rules: the lid must not sag and crush the rolls, the base must not soak through from rice and ginger, and sets range from eight pieces to a large party platter. We don’t force a fixed size grid: a tray with a lid, a self-locking box with no glue, dividers for sauce cups and wasabi — the structural design team draws the blank for your sets, and in a library of 3,000+ cutting dies a matching one may already exist, so you don’t pay for new tooling. A cardboard prototype takes 30 minutes: lay your actual set in the box before the run.

Board and lamination from our own stock

Against the moisture of rice and soy sauce — PE-coated board, 280 g/m²: a grease-resistant moisture barrier. For dry constructions — GC1 food-grade board, 215–290 g/m². For a premium look — matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination: films of all formats, like the board itself, are imported directly and kept in our own stock — stable quality, the optimal sheet format, less waste in the layout, no middleman margin in the price. Board and inks are approved for food contact: sanitary certificate ANSP P-23739/2026, migration 4.3 against the limit of 10 — details on the food packaging certification page.

Runs, lead times, price

Minimum run — 500 pcs. A repeat run takes 3–5 working days; a new order adds one day for the prototype and construction approval. We have printed takeout packaging since 2014 — over a hundred orders for the Star Kebab chain; sushi boxes are a made-to-order product: no ready template, the construction and the calculation are done for your sets. We do not publish a price range for sushi boxes: the price is calculated operation by operation for your construction and quantity. See how the calculation works, plus reference figures for neighbouring categories, on the box printing cost page.

What to order together with sushi boxes

A delivery menu usually needs more than one item. For sauces, sides and warm dishes — eco tableware: leak-proof 420–1400 ml containers with PET lids and compartment sauce trays. If the menu also includes fast food — burger boxes, fries boxes and takeaway boxes are on the fast food packaging page; the rest of the catalogue is on the food and HoReCa packaging hub.

FAQ

What board are sushi boxes made of?

PE-coated board, 280 g/m²: the polyethylene barrier holds the moisture of rice, ginger and soy sauce. For dry constructions, GC1 food-grade board of 215–290 g/m² works well. Materials are approved for food contact: ANSP certificate valid until 2029, food-safe inks.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

From 500 pcs. A repeat run takes 3–5 working days; a new order adds one day for the prototype and construction approval.

How much does a sushi box cost?

We don’t publish a fixed range for sushi boxes: it is a made-to-order product, and the price depends on the construction, set size and quantity — calculated operation by operation within a couple of hours. Reference figures for neighbouring categories are on the box printing cost page.

Can you make a box for our sets — with dividers for sauce cups?

Yes, that is exactly how we work: the structural design team draws the blank to your set size, including dividers for sauce cups and wasabi, and with 3,000+ cutting dies in the library a matching one may already exist, so you skip the tooling cost. A cardboard prototype is ready in 30 minutes.

Can the box have matte or soft-touch lamination?

Yes: matte, gloss and soft-touch films of all formats are kept in our own stock. Lamination gives a premium look and adds extra moisture protection to the box.
