Confectionery box with a hinged lid, 250×125×125 mm: self-assembling cardboard packaging for desserts
The self-assembling confectionery box with a hinged lid is one of the most popular packaging solutions for desserts, pastries and cakes. The box is formed from a single die-cut blank: the bottom, walls and lid make up one piece, and die-cut locking tongues built into the construction keep it securely closed. The rounded side flaps with perforation fold inwards to form neat end walls — the box looks seamless and holds its shape without any additional elements.
The product is made in the 250×125×125 mm format from 325 g/m² SBS board — solid bleached cardboard that is white on both sides. For confectionery packaging this is an essential choice: the inner surface of the box stays impeccably white, and the product inside looks fresh and neat.
The box is printed with the Pantone 290 spot colour — a light sky-blue shade that creates an expressive striped pattern on the white board. Printing with Pantone spot colours guarantees an exact match of the brand colour and its repeatability in every following print run — that is why Pantone printing remains the standard for branded packaging.
The print is protected with matte roll lamination: a thin polymer film shields the surface from abrasion, moisture and fingerprints, while the matte texture gives the box a calm premium look and a pleasant tactile feel. For packaging that the customer holds in their hands and carries away, such finishing is a direct continuation of the impression made by the product itself.
The die-cutting tool for this box was made individually: a proven construction was adapted to the size required by the client. The Pergament print house library contains more than 3,000 ready-made die-cutting tools, so the client can always choose: use an existing shape to reduce the cost and launch time, or order the adaptation or development of a construction for their own product.
Custom cardboard packaging is produced in Chișinău at Pergament’s own full-cycle facility: construction and die design, prepress, offset printing with Pantone colours, matte roll lamination and die-cutting of the finished blanks. We manufacture confectionery boxes, dessert packaging and premium cardboard packaging for clients in Moldova and beyond.
