Pergament is a printing house and cardboard packaging manufacturer in Chisinau, Moldova, since 1999. We make custom cake and candy boxes in Chisinau with your logo — for cakes and bento cakes, pastries, candy, macarons, chocolate and gift sets — from paperboard under our own ANSP sanitary approval P-23739/2026 (valid until 4 August 2029). In offset, a cake or bento box costs from 14 MDL (Moldovan lei) per piece at 300–1,000 pcs and from 6 MDL at 1,000+ pcs (VAT included); small batches (50–100 pcs) go digital with plotter cutting in 1–2 days. The shape follows the product — usually one of our 3,000+ ready cutting dies, no tooling cost; non-standard ones are designed in CAD.

Self-assembly boxes arrive flat, take almost no storage space and pop open in one movement — no tape or glue. The crash-lock bottom is glued on our servo-driven folder-gluer — the only one in Moldova — so every box in the run is identical. Premium chocolate sets: rigid lid-and-base boxes on bookbinding board, from 30 pcs.
Materials and finishing
- Board: Finnish virgin-fibre coated GC1 cartonboard 195–450 g/m² with its own sanitary approval; in our cases — GC1 265–290, GC2 275–290, SBS 350 g/m²; kraft for an eco look.
- Barrier: none for dry confectionery; for cream and grease — PE-coated board, a greaseproof insert or lamination.
- Inks: low-migration food-packaging offset series, mineral oil free and odour-free; printed on the outer face only; CMYK or Pantone.
- Finishing: matte lamination of the outer side, spot gloss UV varnish, gold hot foil stamping, matte or gloss dispersion varnish in-line with printing; foil and UV on automatic machines.
- Inserts with a seat per dessert — nothing shifts in transit; a brand inscription and a QR code on the inner side of the lid work for the brand after opening.
As a rule, the material is already in stock. GC1 cartonboard 215–290 g/m² in several sheet sizes, 280 g/m² PE-coated board and lamination films (matte, gloss, soft-touch) — in our own warehouse, imported directly from mills in Europe and Asia. Food safety: ANSP approval for our own product
Sanitary approval ANSP no. P-23739/2026 covers our cartonboard boxes, logo or not — the product itself, not merely the board we buy; overall migration of the finished box 4.3 mg/dm² against the limit of 10. Scope: confectionery and bakery, dry and bulk goods. On request the run comes with a file for a retail chain and HACCP — approval, test report, declaration of conformity, product specification — usually within one working day. How we work
- Send the product dimensions or the dessert itself, the quantity (ideally 2–3 options) and the logo; artwork is optional — the technologist proposes the structure and layout.
- Within a couple of hours: an operation-by-operation quote in 2–3 variants from our production system, with no discrepancies between quote and invoice.
- Prototype from 30 minutes: a CAD dieline and a plotter-cut sample to try with your cake or chocolates. Simple structure — €100, complex (inserts, multi-part boxes) — €200, credited towards a run ordered within 60 days. With your design — a digital colour mini-run.
- Printing, lamination, die-cutting, gluing, window patching — at our own plant in Chisinau.
- Collect the run yourself, or we store it and ship in batches on your schedule — a year's volume at a large-run price.
Questions and answers
Can cakes or pastries go straight into the box, without a bag?
Yes: the ANSP approval covers confectionery and bakery; printing is on the outer face only. Cream and greasy fillings get PE-coated board or a greaseproof insert.
Can you repeat our run exactly a year later?
Yes. Every order's technological passport is stored since 2014: board, inks, cutting die, lamination, gluing. A repeat is printed from it, not from memory; every second order is a repeat or a new version of an earlier product.
What happens if our manager changes — or yours?
Nothing. Order history, prices and remarks on past runs live in the system, not with a person.
How fast do you quote cake and candy boxes in Chisinau?
Operation-by-operation costing takes minutes; one reply gives 2–3 variants — by quantity, board or finishing.
How do I know what stage my order is at?
Operations are registered on shop-floor terminals in real time; the manager sees the stage without calling the shop.
