Premium paper bag 280×250×100 mm with gold foil stamping

This 280×250×100 mm paper bag was produced for a Korean cosmetics (k-beauty) brand and is designed for premium product presentation: branded packaging works here as an extension of the brand itself — from the colour to the tactile experience. This Pergament print house (Chișinău, Moldova) case combines Pantone printing, matte lamination, gold foil stamping and satin ribbon handles.

Format and construction

The bag is assembled from a single cardboard blank measuring 724×377 mm; the finished product is an upright bag with a rectangular bottom and a 100 mm gusset, well suited to cosmetics sets and gifts. The blank is die-cut with a cutting die: the print house library holds more than 3,000 ready-made cutting dies, so for standard bag formats the tooling is often already in stock — which shortens lead time and reduces the cost of launching a print run; for non-standard constructions a die is developed individually. The handles are made of gold satin ribbon, cut into 36 cm lengths and fixed with hot-melt adhesive: the ribbon is pleasant to hold, does not cut into the palm and reinforces the gift character of the packaging.

Material and printing

The base is single-side coated board with a density of 195 g/m²: the coated face is prepared for high-quality printing, and the material is stiff enough for the bag to hold its shape. The outer surface is offset-printed with a solid flood coat in a Pantone colour. Unlike CMYK process printing, a Pantone ink is pre-mixed for the exact shade — the result is a perfectly even, deep purple tone and a precise match to the brand colour.

Finishing: matte lamination and gold foil

The print is covered with roll matte lamination: the protective film shields the solid colour from scuffing and moisture — a bag is in constant contact with hands, and without lamination a full-coverage dark colour would quickly lose its appearance. The matte texture creates a refined, glare-free surface with a soft, velvety feel. The key finishing element is hot stamping with gold foil: the logo, the brand slogan and the website address are applied in mirror-like gold over the matte purple background. A custom stamping die is produced for the design; when heated, it transfers the foil onto the material. The contrast between a matte surface and the shine of foil is a proven technique in premium packaging: this finish visibly raises the perceived value of the product and turns the bag into part of the gift.
